Omeil Album faced major delay from a summer to a Christmas release. The Princess is touring to let the fans know the “Reggae Sweetheart” Album is still on its way. To date, Omeil has headline shows at Central State U (Connecticut), Suffolk University (New York), Chester University (Pennsylvania), Henry Ford College (Michigan) University of Michigan (Michigan) and more stop on its way for 2004. Omeil what do you love about touring? It’s a lot of excitement in traveling and meeting new people who appreciate my craft, its just beautiful.
Omeil’s first song “Fret” earned her an award from the hip-hop palace for best new female reggae artist. Her follow-up single “hot girls feat posh” and “Weh U UP 2 feat Daddy Slim was rotated on over 75 stations throughout the USA with 30 tops DJ Pool spinning the record. The word on street is she “has what it takes”. But then of course Omeil has had over 38,000 downloads of her songs and 2.6 in consumer awareness.
Omeil how does it feel to know you have received this type of exposure? Grateful because there is a lot of talent and I am fortune to be in my position!
As a new season begins Omeil decided she’s want drop a song that represent her life, single “Strive” which is taking its place in the market. This song states Omeil “Means a lot to me, Simply because it hits home. Someone is always trying to bring you down, when you’re doing something with yourself”. Omeil how does it feel to finish your first Album? It feels great! It took 2 years to complete this album. This album represents my unique sound. I am doing what I truly love to do, and I can share it with the world. The exposure I am getting is incredible and it’s my dream taking form.
