~MP3.COM GOING BUT THE FUN DOES NOT END~

Independent musicians are feeling dismayed, confused and lost with the recent announcement of CNET’s purchase of MP3.com from Vivendi/Universal. As you may or may not know, mp3.com supplied thousands of unsigned artists with free limited web space to host their music as well as many other services that could be acquired for certain fees. Email messages were sent to all members of mp3.com informing them of the acquisition and that, by December 2nd of this year, all stored music, artist pages and services relating to each will be deleted and destroyed from their internet servers in order to make the transition. Many musicians and musical artist have used mp3.com as a pivot point to gain recognition in the business by creating and distributing their CDs, promoting their music to a world wide audience and offering free downloads of their audible works. Upon hearing this news, a savior to independent artists was born. Funender.com, a very popular internet message board community consisting of independent visual and audible artists, has stepped up to the plate and released a slew of additions all designed to help in the promotion, distribution and recognition of independent musicians and the art that they create. In less than one year this free site has already established itself as a leader in the online support and promotion of independent artists through its growing collection of message forums, all of which were designed for the soul purpose of helping members in their quests and dreams, whatever they may be. With the addition of Funender.com Music comes the offering of everything from free basic music hosting services, CD creation & distribution packages, play statistics, customized artist pages and much, much more. Funender.com has made a commitment of support unlike anything else being offered online, past or present. The sites owner / administrator, who is only known by his screen name “FuNEnD3R” ( or “F3R” for short ), dedicates his life to helping artists by taking his own time and money as well as all profits from the site and reinvesting them to constantly improve upon what he has created for the community. F3R vows to take over right where mp3.com left off but with a much broader range of offerings, support and affordable package pricing that mp3.com failed to materialize to it’s members in recent years. A call has been answered with a renewed hope for aspiring world wide artists of all ages. An online community developed by one man’s dream to help others succeed.

If you are an independent artist looking for an alternative to the soon to be defunct mp3.com or just another place to post your musical craft, you can join for free at http://www.funender.com/music or visit their main site page at http://www.funender.com.
