March 24, 2004 New York - Nuendo Music Group Recording Artist Geri King exploded onto the international music scene in 2001 with her debut EP entitled “Tenderly” and is now making her US debut with her 3rd release Always.
Following the success of 4 top 10 singles on the Australian Radio charts for over 30 weeks with both her debut EPCD Tenderly and her sophomore CD Deja Vu. Geri does not disappoint with her newest CD Always. With fans the world over in Japan, Russia, Australia and the U.K. Geri has received famed attention for her sultry vocal style. But there is much more than the seductive styling, Geri is known for in this new CD. She comes more into her own with a funky eclectic, Jazz, R&B, contemporary world feel. Always showcases Geri’s wide musical range from the R&B/Rock infused “My Life” to a wonderfully sincere Gothic type ballad “Tears You’ll Never See”. Always delights the ears with eclectic blends of ethnic world sounds but keeps the overall vibe of the songs distinctly R&B.
Geri makes her production debut working along side producers Kimo Kaulani of ki songs entertainment, inc., Kevin Flournoy of KFlo Productions and Alvin Chea from 10 Time Grammy Award Winning group Take 6. She delivers sexy love ballads true to form. Her voice is richer in tone and texture, her delivery of the songs is strong and believable, all this gives proof to some things only getting better.
Nuendo Music Group plans on launching Always with a Release Party at Studio 8 Recording Studio Lounge located at Manhattan Center home of the famous Hammerstein Ballroom on April 23rd starting at 8PM. Geri will also do a series of In-Store appearances and performances at several FYE record stores throughout the US with the first to take place in her native city of New York.
